The Art of Hiding
03:04
|
|

I want that which I can't have,
that which I have I don't want.
Friday was gray before I met you and now this ghost town's turning gray now that I'm learning to leave you too.
There's nothing to say and there's nothing to do, it was just lust with something to prove.
I could perfect the art of hiding being a thief with you,
because I've stolen somebodies heart and don't know who it belongs to.

Dead Routines
03:16

I'm sick of beating this dead horse I've been feeding.
Wasted hours come to pass,
dead routines I've killed at last.
These kids, they expect it, uncle's empty bottles to inherit.
These kids take for granted, daddy's empty bottles to inherit.
I've thrown away enough time on friends convinced to think they might find security in bottles.
O hell, what a shame of self that it took that for those words to come out.

Forget Us
03:14

I've had this habit of locking myself in these rooms in these houses.
Back home I heard of your vow in forgetting my lesser existence.
So go and forget us.
Because I could forget me too, especially if I was drinking like you do.
So glad I don't have to prove to you one thousand miles through a phone.
You know we both turned sour.
